I sit here at my desk doing my pre-planned Sunday event of organizing my week ahead as well as itemizing/categorizing my to-do list. And yet even with the planned event of organization, I am distracted – “I’ll just check this email real quick” or “Perhaps I’ll just research this real quick”. And of course my Blackberry signals me of new items before my laptop tells me. And with each of these distractions, the time it takes to get back on task increases. Not to mention, that this is Sunday and I should be focusing on loved ones.

Don’t get my wrong – some of these distractions I really enjoy but others… make me loose complete focus.
My goal this week, to filter distractions as they come and to be less reactionary to emails and text messages. And that next item… to order Ms. Burtons book.
